বাংলাদেশে ই-পাসপোর্টের জন্য আবেদন করার নিয়ম

Applying for an e-Passport in Bangladesh is now fully digitized. You must fill out the form online, pay the fees, and visit a regional passport office for biometric enrollment (fingerprints, iris scan, and photograph).

Step 1: Check Eligibility

Before starting, ensure you have a valid National ID Card (NID) or an online-verified Birth Registration Certificate (BRC). The name, date of birth, and parents' details on these documents must match your application exactly.

Step 2: Register on the e-Passport Portal

1. Navigate to the official e-Passport portal at epassport.gov.bd.
2. Click on Apply Online.
3. Select your district and the nearest Regional Passport Office (RPO).
4. Create an account using an active email address and mobile number.

Step 3: Complete the Online Application

Once logged in, fill out the application form carefully:

• Personal Information: Enter your name, gender, and date of birth exactly as they appear on your NID/BRC.
• Address: Provide present and permanent address details. Police verification will be conducted at your present address.
• Emergency Contact: Enter contact information of a relative or spouse.
• Passport Options: Choose the validity (5 years or 10 years) and the page volume (48 pages or 64 pages).

Step 4: Pay the Passport Fees

Select your payment method:

• Online Payment: Integrated directly into the portal via A-Challan (supports mobile banking like bKash, Nagad, cards).
• Offline Payment: Print the payment challan form and pay at Sonali Bank, Bank Asia, Premier Bank, Dhaka Bank, or Trust Bank.

• 48 Pages (5-Year Validity): Regular: BDT 4,025 | Express: BDT 6,325 | Super Express: BDT 8,625

Step 5: Schedule Biometric Enrollment

Select an appointment slot at your RPO for biometric data capture (photograph, fingerprints, iris scan). Print the enrollment appointment slip.

Step 6: Visit the Regional Passport Office

On your appointment date, visit the RPO with all required documents. Dress in dark-colored clothing for the photograph (light background). Submit your documents for vetting, complete biometric enrollment, and collect your delivery slip.

Step 7: Delivery

Track your application status on the portal. You will receive an SMS when your passport is ready. Present the delivery slip to collect your e-Passport.
